Questions? We have answers.

wHAT AGE GROUP IS GOOD FOR THIS COOKING CLUB?

Craversity is great for kids ages 9-13 who are ready to start cooking recipes like Sloppy Joes, Pizza, Tater Tot Cheeseburger Bites, NY Cheesecake and so much more. Most recipes are designed to take no more than 60 minutes to make and clean up. There are a couple that may take longer like letting yeast rise for pizza dough, but those are worth it! We want to get kids interested in cooking, learning their way around the kitchen and enjoying the art of food.

HOW ARE THE ISSUES DELIVERED?

Each issue is delivered digitally in a magazine format. Kids can print pages from it and create their own recipe book if they want. Check out some COOL IDEAS for creating a scrapbook style recipe notebook. There are free downloads kids can use to decorate with.

what kind of activities can kids do?

Kids are giant sponges ready to soak up information when it’s delivered in a fun and engaging format. Our magazine style format was designed to keep kids interested. We offer projects in every issue. For example, in the first issue, Ben grows a vegetable from one he is going to use in the recipe and kids are encouraged to plant a vegetable from an existing vegetable.

can kids interact with the two main characters, ally and ben?

They sure can. They can email Ally or Ben. They can write in with stories and possibly be published in one of our special issue magazines that are free to our subscribers.

Can i get a shopping list before each issue?

Yes, we publish all the recipe ingredients prior to the magazine coming out because we know how excited the kids are when they open the magazine. They want to start cooking right away! This information is available to subscribed members only.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?

Honestly, there are so many dietary restrictions that we felt we just couldn’t cover every single one. So with that in mind, we try to stay away from nuts which is the biggest food allergen out there. When we do have a recipe with nuts, it is optional in the recipe and not a main part of it. For example, our Banana Sundaes have walnuts as an option but omitting it does not impede the recipe. We recommend you view each recipe with your child and make the necessary changes to fit your dietary needs. We do not currently have dietary modifications.
